…we just couldn’t resist it, and yes there is a reason why we’ve greeted you like an Aussie would – carry on reading and all will be revealed.
It’s been a bit of an upside down few days for us. Our Co-founder found herself in Australia this week. You’d be wrong to think it was a holiday, and before you ask, yes there was a bit of lounging on Bondi Beach… but we’ve also spoken to some interested parties in the Asia Pacific region about exploring partnerships and securing potential investments.
As you may or may not know there are some great start-up stories, businesses and market disrupting innovations being created by our cousins in Down Under.
The tech entrepreneurial scene is very much alive and kicking Australia, with 100s of new start-ups being developed each year. Our Aussie friends seem to have adopted a healthy appetite in the uptake of tech - far better than most of the rest of the world.
And the reasons?
Firstly, the Asian influence (namely China, India and Indonesia) and their tech industries. Secondly, the research-intensive Australian universities are pushing the cutting edge tech envelope and then there’s the general outward-looking nature of companies based in Australia.
