The entrepreneurial accountant's personality profile

old blogs (3).jpg

The entrepreneurial character needs high Dominance to keep pushing for results, high Influencing to persuade customers and teams, low Steadiness to provide energy, speed and risk-taking and low Compliance to defy the rulebook to find new solutions.

The accountant character (by contrast) needs high Compliance to deal with regulation, high Steadiness to assess and deal with risk, which is naturally offset by low Influence and low Dominance since business relationships must be built on facts and reflection.

I guess you already knew that in your heart because you only have to think of clients and colleagues to see the truth of it.

But how does an accountant trying to diversify his/her practice do so with the wrong profile?
